CertainTeed dBstation for Residential Builders app for iPhone and iPad

CertainTeed Gypsum, Inc. presents CertainTeed dBstation for Residential Builders: the first interactive, virtual reality program, which simulates the acoustic performance of SilentFX Noise-Reducing Gypsum Board solutions for residential applications. It allows comparison and selection of the best acoustic solution to address the noise challenges of open plan concepts, media rooms and centrally located laundry rooms.

We suggest that the optimal way of listening to the dBstation app is through headphones to ensure clarity and quality of the acoustic performance.

The acoustic simulator is composed of two parts:

• A catalogue where you can first compare systems under neutral conditions. A range of systems were selected to allow simulations and comparisons in order to promote the sound insulation benefits of those value-added systems. The sound varies in real time depending on user’s selection.  CertainTeed has over 20 tested systems, all of which are not in this simulator but can be found at our web site at www.certainteed.com/silentfx

• A scenario application to experience the same products performance, in a real-life situation.
